Visit to Meme and Papa's House

p
We traveled to Thorndale, TX to visit MeMe and Papa for the weekend. We were also joined by my sister, brother-in-law, nephew, nieces, cousins, aunt, uncle and parents. It was so nice to see everyone and get a chance to spend time together. The best part I think was watching the kids play. I treasure my trips to MeMe and Papa's house.

MeMe enjoyed getting to love on and watch her great-grandchildren.

Oh sweet Natalie and wonderful Auntie Am! Love these two girls so much!

Luke was so excited Logan brought his trains. They had fun finally getting to play trains together and not just watching each other on the computer.

Andrew loved being outside with the older kids.

Marley and Grandpawpaw enjoying being outside too.

Andrew looks so small yet so big in this picture.

My cute Logan in front of the fence

Madi and Ally helping Andrew climb the fence.

Andrew leading his cousins. I think he liked all the attention :)

Mom and I in the kitchen. This year we each brought something to lessen the load on MeMe. She really liked it and wondered why we had not done it before :)

Marley all smiles with cousin Cole.

The kids always enjoy playing on the fence. I love how Andrew is trying so hard to climb the fence like Logan.

Luke decided he wanted to climb the tree. Love the smile he gave me :)

Enjoying a baseball game outside in the backyard.

Luke and Logan waiting for their turn to bat.

My boys enjoying being outside. Logan spent all afternoon outside playing and fishing at the tank. Andrew and I went in for a nap so I missed getting pictures of the fishing.

Logan loves Baby Natalie. (I think they favor each other a little)

Uncle Jonathan with his hands full

We didn't want Andrew to feel left out. What's one more? Way to go Uncle Jonathan!

Before leaving the boys had a wrestling match. These two boys have so much fun together!

Ally, Logan and Madi enjoying cereal for dinner. I remember loving to sit at this same counter as a child.

Our Getaway

Billy and I enjoyed a few days together over spring break. Just the two of us. While we enjoyed some alone time, Andrew and Logan enjoyed having fun with GeeGee and Grandpawpaw. Our getaway destination was to San Antonio. The weather was great. We enjoyed walking the riverwalk and San Antonio streets hand in hand with no diaper bags or little bodies to worry about (I even decided to leave my purse behind to enjoy the full effect of no bags), sleeping in, eating at nice restaurants and actually tasting the food :), getting a massage at one of the salons, visiting the Alamo and enjoying some couch time to just sit and watch TV. Thank you Mom and LeeRoy for keeping our boys. It was nice to know they were in good hands.
Billy and I enjoying a nice meal together,
Not the best quality picture with Billy's phone but remember I carried nothing :)

We did attempt to get one picture with our camera in the hotel to document the event :)

Billy and I in front of the Alamo. We did do some looking around, but due to long lines of Spring breakers opted not to do everything. The weather was beautiful. Later on this night we ate at one of the Mexican food restaurants on the Riverwalk. We were seated right on the water. It was nice to eat and enjoy the sites.

We both came home ready to see our boys, but also ready to go again.
Thank you Billy for going on this trip with me. I enjoyed every minute and look forward to when we get away again. I love you!

Gardening 101

Nana and Papa gave Logan some seeds to plant. He was very excited to get to pour the water and dirt and plant the seeds. It will be fun to watch Logan learn about seeds and plant growth. On the same day after planting we were in the car and Logan wanted to know if he could eat his green beans yet. It is going to be a long process :)

Happenings!

Logan is loving school. He had fun decorating his box for Valentine's Day! He did a great job! It is of course a Thomas the Train theme. He used a sticker book to decorate. Besides Mommy helping wrap the box with paper and helping get the stickers out of the book it is all his own work. He was so proud and loved coming home with it filled with Valentines from his friends.

My cute boy in his pj's :)

Andrew is learning how to use a spoon and fork. It is definitely a work in progress but he is doing very well. He can fork green beans great and loves to eat his yogurt and applesauce with a spoon. We are still working on using a plate. Dumping it is so much more fun than eating off of it :)

Andrew is also getting more and more interested in books. Until recently he did not want to sit down and look at books and if so it was very brief. For a couple of nights Andrew joined Billy and Logan before bed to read books. One night after I took Andrew to his room to put him to sleep. He did not want anything to do with it. He went straight to Logan's room and wanted Daddy to read him a book. After the reading he was read to go to bed :)

Logan continues to love trains and will play and play with them!

Andrew has found a love for hats! Logan joined in!

Fun Outside

We had fun playing in the backyard the other day. With changing weather and sickness we have not been able to get outside much so it was definitely a treat to get some much needed sunshine.

Oh Andrew!

Hmmmmm.....this is interesting
I wonder who did this??

It is never boring around here. You never know what you will find. Logan was helping me put up dish towels the other morning. I guess I should have let Andrew help too. (At the time he was not interested, but looks like he got the concept of where to put things :)

We have also recently had to put the trash can outside. Andrew has found a liking to being like the rest of the household and put things in the trash. Too bad his concept of trash is not the same as ours yet. :)
