Happenings!

Logan is loving school. He had fun decorating his box for Valentine's Day! He did a great job! It is of course a Thomas the Train theme. He used a sticker book to decorate. Besides Mommy helping wrap the box with paper and helping get the stickers out of the book it is all his own work. He was so proud and loved coming home with it filled with Valentines from his friends.

My cute boy in his pj's :)

Andrew is learning how to use a spoon and fork. It is definitely a work in progress but he is doing very well. He can fork green beans great and loves to eat his yogurt and applesauce with a spoon. We are still working on using a plate. Dumping it is so much more fun than eating off of it :)

Andrew is also getting more and more interested in books. Until recently he did not want to sit down and look at books and if so it was very brief. For a couple of nights Andrew joined Billy and Logan before bed to read books. One night after I took Andrew to his room to put him to sleep. He did not want anything to do with it. He went straight to Logan's room and wanted Daddy to read him a book. After the reading he was read to go to bed :)

Logan continues to love trains and will play and play with them!

Andrew has found a love for hats! Logan joined in!

Oh Andrew!

Hmmmmm.....this is interesting
I wonder who did this??

It is never boring around here. You never know what you will find. Logan was helping me put up dish towels the other morning. I guess I should have let Andrew help too. (At the time he was not interested, but looks like he got the concept of where to put things :)

We have also recently had to put the trash can outside. Andrew has found a liking to being like the rest of the household and put things in the trash. Too bad his concept of trash is not the same as ours yet. :)

Driving Along

The boys decided to take a quick drive this morning before we left for church. =) Andrew looks so big! He only balanced for a minute and don't worry Billy was right there spotting for a possible fall.

Logan is getting big as well. I was so proud of him this evening before church. I told him it was time to get ready for church and without being told he went and got his shoes and PUT them on. Yes he did it all by himself. I was amazed and so proud. It was nice to not have to fight and shove his feet into shoes.

It has been so much fun watching these two boys interact. For the most part it is all smiles.

Just for Fun!

Who's Who??

I took the easy way and took a picture of a picture instead of getting the hard drive out but even with the quality difference there are lots of similarites. The older Andrew gets the more I think he favors Logan. At first I thought they looked really different, but I think I better start labeling the pictures. I think I might have some difficulty on some in the future if I don't. By the way Logan is the first picture and Andrew is the second. They are both 6-7 mth of age when taken.

Thousand Oaks Ranch Camp

Andrew was exhausted and it was only the first day. This was the day we traveled and he did not get as long of a nap. He fell asleep in the mess hall while we were eating dinner. It was so loud in there I could not believe he was sleeping. Poor guy! He did get his long naps the other days.

Andrew enjoyed jumping while I got dressed each morning.

The boy campers waiting to go canoeing and fishing on the back porch of the lake house.

Andrew slept through all the activities around to Lake House and I was very excited to have my hands free to help make and pass out snow cones.

Chase and Sydney our niece and nephew came with us to camp. Here is Chase trying to catch a fish.

Both Sydney and Chase enjoyed getting to spend some time with Andrew.

Andrew got good use of his quilt Great Aunt Donna made him. He would roll and play on the floor and tables even :)

Sydney fishing

My boys. They had lots of fun but were tired and ready to load up and go home.

Our family

Logan, Andrew and I tagged along with Billy again this year to Thousand Oaks Ranch Camp (the camp we take our 3rd-6th graders to) Last year I was 13-14th week pregnant with Andrew so technically this was his 2nd year to go :) We enjoyed "the youth ministers wives" lake house. It was nice getting to interact with the kids and seeing Daddy some too. This year Logan got a special treat and went and spent a few days at GeeGee and Grandpa's house. He had lots of fun. So much fun that there was no time for pictures but according to GeeGee and Logan they have great memories and did not need pictures :)

Fun with GeeGee

GeeGee ( my mom) came for a visit while Billy was at Camp Bandina. We enjoyed our time with her!

Andrew and GeeGee

Logan showing Andrew and GeeGee how to roll in the blanket like a taco :)

GeeGee flew into Houston on Logan's birthday and had a suitcase full of gifts just for him. Logan was eager to see what was inside.

Logan checking out his new Bounce Ring.

Logan had fun jumping in the Bounce Ring. He also enjoyed getting to play water guns, playing in the sprinkler, playing baseball and pretty much anything else he convinced GeeGee to do (which was not hard :) ) We were glad to have Gee Gee here. Thanks for coming!

My Boys

Sweet Logan

Sweet Andrew

Just wanted to share a few pictures of my sweet boys. We are in the midst of a very busy summer. With Daddy gone a lot and us making trips as well blogging has been difficult, but I plan on trying to catch up when I can. So stay tuned for a lot more posts. :)

Happenings

We found a replacement. It is a Honda CRV 2004. I am sad to lose my Civic but I am slowly getting excited about this "new car" as Logan says. I have to say shopping for a "new" car with two children in tow was a bite of a challenge. I would have just let Billy go but I am definitely better in the smelling department than Billy and a good nose is a must when buying used car. :)

Andrew smiling in the stroller. We have been going on walks around the block before nap time. I have to say it has been pretty warm at 1 o'clock. Logan has even complained about being "sweaty"

I'd like you to meet "Frankie". This is Logan's new "friend". Papa got this alligator for Logan at Walmart. He loves it and named it himself. Not sure where the name Frankie came from but for an alligator he has been pretty nice and fun to have around.

Andrew is loving to play on the floor more and more. (despite the multiple spit ups that don't seem to bother him) He is also rolling both ways now. I put him on his back on the blanket the other day and off he went.

I turned around for a minute and this is what I saw. He really is not that fast yet but definitely a rolly polly.

Andrew staking out his next move.

Due to Andrew's love for reaching the Bumbo seat was not as safe anymore so Billy got out the highchair. He loved it. I can't believe how big yet so small Andrew looks in it.

Logan relaxing in his recliner.

Logan has been preferring showers with Daddy these day instead of baths. However he does still enjoy playing in the tub occasionally.

Luke you have a follower. Andrew, even though I think I am in denial, IS a finger sucker. (I just don't look forward to the future when finger sucking will not be cute) However right now I have to say it is pretty cute!

See....cutest boy ever :)
Andrew loves to play here and has even mastered some of the pull and flip parts of the toy.

Today I felt like Andrew was at Curves. I have never been but I heard you go from station to station with each station being timed. Andrew was happy for awhile in the exersaucer, then to to floor, then to the bumbo and to play with thing pictured above and then back to the floor, then diaper change, rocking and down for a nap. Fun times yet busy :) (I know at least he is not mobile, then it will be really busy and he will be in control of the station times. Yikes!)

Logan has been really imaginative lately. For the most part it has been fun for all except when he blames his toys for mishaps. He pretends to talk to everyone on the phone and his little conversation are too cute and surprising familiar. I know who has been listening to his Mommy talk on the phone :) He sat in the buggy and talked on his phone during the majority of our shopping trip. The other part he stood in the buggy in the card isle doing the chicken dance.(Yes I did get quite a few strange looks.) He also has been playing a lot with the 5-10 french fries from his playfood set. He has them doing and being lots of things. Today he said they had company and he needed to find some money to put in his pocket?? He found some in the refrigerator. I wish I would have known that was where the stash was kept. :) He will put them all on the table and then "they will fall into the water". He will ask them "are you listening to me?" and I am not sure what their response is but his next comment is "you need to listen to me" He tells them to "be careful" "watch out" "have fun" "you love your brother don't you" These are just some things I heard today. There was other playing in between what I just shared. These just captured my attention. :)

Logan's smartness and imagination has started to become a challenge in the disciplining department. Just as I was typing this Logan came out of his room and said he needed to go peepee. I said okay go. (side note: he has not quite mastered the pants up and down thing but we are working on it and trying to encourage him to want to do it on his own) So from the bathroom I hear "Mommy why aren't you minding me?" It was said in a sweet not rude voice but needless to say we definitely had a conversation about kids minding adults and not the opposite. Oh the joys of a too smart for his own good almost 3 year old.
