Christmas at GeeGee and Grandpawpaw's

Our Christmas continued as we traveled to Granbury on Christmas eve to GeeGee and Grandpawpaw's house. It was a beautiful drive and definitely memorable to drive with white flakes and "blizzard" like winds blowing. Thankfully it was warm the day before so the roads were not bad until after we arrived. My sister Amber and brother John were also there with their families. This year we bought all the kids matching pj's and cups with their names on them. With 5 kids three and under figuring out who's sippy cup is who's can get a little tricky :) We did get a picture of all five in their pj's. What a challenge that was :) Logan knew about Santa this year but was not really into it and the other kids were still too young. I am sure next year will be filled with letters and leaving cookies out. Christmas morning we woke up to white outside. It was beautiful. It had stopped snowing and the sun was out. After breakfast we bundled up and went to play. It was the first time for Logan to play in snow. The snow was too dry to make snowballs, but a rope and a piece of cardboard made for great fun. Uncle John and Billy had fun pulling Logan around the yard. Later in the day we exchanged gifts. This year Logan was really excited about unwrapping the gifts and even accidently unwrapped one of Luke's. Thankfully Luke is was not upset. Logan then took on the job helping pass out gifts to all, which he loved. The living room was quite busy. It was full of shredded wrapping paper, toys, kids playing, parents trying to free toys from their boxes, shouts of thank you's and your welcomes. We spent the rest of our time their playing with new toys, napping, visiting, attending church and eating. Grandpawpaw got a cute little table for the kids. It was so funny to watch Marley, Luke and Logan enjoy meals together. What a crew, each so different.
Thank you GeeGee and Grandpawpaw for a wonderful Christmas and time together! We love you!

Christmas at Gramps & Nanalyn's

e

We started our Christmas off at Gramps and Nanalyn's house. We enjoyed being with Gramps (my dad), Nanalyn (my stepmom), Granny, Kerri, John, Amber, Jonathan, Luke, Natalie and the dog Shelby. Billy, Andrew and I stayed at a hotel at night while Logan enjoyed staying at the house. He enjoyed sleeping in the living room with Gramps, waking up to Mickey Mouse pancakes made by Nanalyn, riding in the golf cart with Gramps and Shelby and playing cards with Nanalyn and Granny. The second night Luke joined them which being with Luke is always a treat for Logan. Andrew enjoyed the king size bed with Mama and Dada. It was good weather while we were there. We all had fun being outside and watching the boys run and play. We each took turns taking a ride around the block in the golf cart and later enjoyed sharing gifts and a meal. Thank you so much Gramps and Nanalyn for a wonderful Christmas! We love you!

Andrew's First Birthday

For Andrew's first birthday we celebrated in the jungle.

Behind the cakes I had all 12 monthly chair pictures of Andrew. It was neat to see how he has grown. We also played a video of pictures from the past year.

Andrew entering the birthday jungle.

Andrew excited about the animals.

Cool decorations Mama, now let's party!

Andrew loved having his cousin Luke and brother Logan help him open. Above is Andrew and Luke giving each other a sweet hug.

Excited about his gifts!

Logan and Luke were helping with the big present. Andrew thought he was sneaky by taking the paper and running.

After a minute of just poking at it he had his first bite of cake (anything sweet really).

I'll let the picture tell you if he liked it or not. Man he was a mess!!

I cannot believe Andrew is one! Thank you to everyone that came and helped with the party! We love you all so much and appreciate you helping us celebrate Andrew!

Logan Mack- The Interview

Logan has really been enjoying sports lately and has had lots of fun watching football games. He had been running and tackling (in the same directions mind you) as the players on TV, but tonight he suprised me when he walked up with his microphone and told me he was a football player and wanted me to interview him. :) I did as he asked except my questions were not really related to the game. Logan even let me know that he was done and that he needed to get back to playing. I love this little boy and his imagination. I did ask him what was his favorite color twice because I was curious if he would change it. So far he seems to have a different favorite color each day :) Also later on I told Logan to go interview Andrew. His question for him was "What is your favorite recipe?" Silly boy :)

It's Snowing!

It is snowing today. It is not sticking, but big white flakes are definitely falling and have been off and on pretty much all day. It is hard to believe we have had snow now two Decembers in a row. I am sorry to say I did not let my boys go play in it. Just like last year, Logan is sick and Andrew is getting over sickness as well. So we enjoyed the flakes from the window and front porch. Andrew was not too happy about not getting to go outside. :(

Bundled Up

The boys bundled up. It has been wet and cold here this week.

My cute boys in their hats.

Logan found a new way to wear his hat.

Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving this year with Billy's family. We all gathered at Tricia and Sean's house. The kids had fun decorating their tree and playing football and chase outside. Above are all the grandchildren and their finished product.

Aunt Mary said silly picture this is what I captured. Logan is always ready to make a silly face :)

Papa giving Andrew his first taste of turkey. Andrew is slowly advancing to more solids. Come on teeth!

Not so sure about it. "It's so big and I only have one tooth :)"
He handled the smaller bites better.

Andrew playing with NaNa. See the donut in Andrew's hand. Andrew has started lately liking to have a toy in his hand even while being rocked to sleep. Too cute and funny!

Father and son carving the turkey.

Andrew absolutely loved Tricia's dog Cassie. He would giggle and reach for her. Cassie did so good with his excitement.

The boys taking a break from football for a snack.
