Andrew 6 months old

6 months Chair Picture

We held off the check up appt and shots til after vacations/trips in June so Andrew's stats are at 6 3/4 months

Weight:17lbs 7 oz (50th%)
Height: 26 1/4 in (50th %)
Head: 45 cm. (75th%)

Happy 1/2 Birthday Andrew! You are such a sweet little man. You are rolling very good now. You love to reach for things and we are afraid you are going to really start getting into things as soon as you are more mobile. You love your jumper and like to jump forward and swing backwards. You love water! You love your bathes and had a blast in the pool last week. You continue to suck on your first two fingers randomly( mainly when your tired) yet go to sleep with a paci. You love to eat rice cereal but veggies and you do not seem to mix. You have ate green beans and peas liking the peas more, but both seem to make you very fussy for days after eating them. For now we are holding off on other foods and just sticking with cereal. You are not sitting up yet but love to be propped up with pillows in the sitting position. You continue to be a Mommy's boy. Logan can do no wrong in your eyes and it is him that you give your biggest grins too. You do not giggle instead you have the cutest little squeals. We love you Andrew and feel so blessed to have you in our lives. Love, Mommy

Fun with GeeGee

GeeGee ( my mom) came for a visit while Billy was at Camp Bandina. We enjoyed our time with her!

Andrew and GeeGee

Logan showing Andrew and GeeGee how to roll in the blanket like a taco :)

GeeGee flew into Houston on Logan's birthday and had a suitcase full of gifts just for him. Logan was eager to see what was inside.

Logan checking out his new Bounce Ring.

Logan had fun jumping in the Bounce Ring. He also enjoyed getting to play water guns, playing in the sprinkler, playing baseball and pretty much anything else he convinced GeeGee to do (which was not hard :) ) We were glad to have Gee Gee here. Thanks for coming!

Happy 3rd Birthday Logan

Wow THREE years old. I cannot believe it. Logan is such a blessing and a gift from God. He keeps us entertained: laughing, questioning, loving, hugging, kissing, singing, dancing, coughing, playing, riding, eating, sleeping (most of the time :) ), listening to music, mowing, vacuuming, conducting, performing, pretending, asking, sharing, napping, sweeping, reading, spelling, sounding out words, writing, coloring, smiling, remembering, memorizing. minding, not minding, swimming, building, helping. running, sweating, climbing, jumping. Logan is so smart. He amazes me daily on what he knows. He is a wonderful big brother and can do no wrong is Andrew's eyes. He definitely is our time clock and keeps us all in check. He still wakes up with a smile and is ready for the day. I a so proud of you Logan and am honored to be your Mommy.

Logan's request for his birthday was Chocolate Cake! This boy loves dessert and especially chocolate.

I was taking Andrew's chair picture and Logan wanted to join in. So I made him a sign and started snapping. Despite no shorts I love it and hopefully will start a yearly tradition with Logan. :) (Logan loves to not wear pants/shorts. He is so funny the minute we are home from being out he wants his shoes, socks and pants off. I am glad he is comfortable at home but I am sure we will have to modify this one day :) )

Cute boy in his boots from Grandma.

We celebrated Logan birthday this year while we were at Port Aransas. Luke enjoyed watching Logan open his gifts.

Fire! (The tongue helps put the fire out don't you know?)

Port Aransas Trip

We loaded up and spent a few nights in Port Aransas at Port Royal Resort. Gramps, Nanalyn, Granny, Aunt Kerri, Uncle John, Auntie Am, Uncle Jonathan and Luke also joined us. We were able to stay all together in a condo and had lots of fun. The beach was very windy and had lots of seaweed so we mainly spent our time at the pool. However we did spend one morning at the beach and Logan loved the waves, building sand castles and throwing sand (much to everyone elses dislike).

Our balcony faced the ocean and had a good view of the waves, the birds and the bridge over the sand dunes that led to the beach. Logan and Gramps enjoyed lots of time together watching the sites. "Look Mommy a bird! "

Balcony view.

Andrew enjoying the pool in his float.

Auntie Am and Luke enjoying the pool.

Logan and Daddy having fun with the noodle. Logan is a little fish. He loves the water and is not afraid of going under. He is not swimming on his own, but with floaty on his arms he can make his way around the pool.

Enjoying the huge pool. It had multiple pools joined together separated by waterfalls and even a waterslide. Us "big kids" enjoyed it and look forward to letting the "little kids" enjoy the slide in the future.;)

Andrew like his brother loves the water. This was his first swim in a pool. From the love for his baths I was not concerned how he would react. He loved the pool and I am not sure his legs ever stopped moving the whole time we were in the pool.

We spent one morning at the Texas State Aquarium. The boys had lots of fun looking at all the sites and it was a good break from the sun and the heat.

Granny, Nanalyn and Gramps taking a break from looking at the sites of the aquarium and chatting with Andrew.

Logan and Luke looking at the many fish. When asked what was his favorite Logan said watching the dolphins jump, seeing the sea horses and a clown fish that looked like Nemo.

Auntie Am and Luke take a break from touching the sting rays to smile for the camera.

Logan trying to touch the sting rays. He was unsuccessful but I wasn't. :) Very slimy not sure I will be doing that again :)

We saw a dolphin show while at the aquarium. We all enjoyed seeing the dolphins jump and do tricks.

Gramps, Logan and Luke waiting for the show to begin

Ready for the show: Uncle Jonathan, Luke, Andrew, Auntie Am, Stephanie, Logan, Billy, Nanalyn and Granny.

Our family all greased up with sunscreen ready for the beach and pool.
We had a great trip! Thanks Nanalyn and Gramps!

Sweet Andrew

Just wanted to share a few pictures of my sweet boys. We are in the midst of a very busy summer. With Daddy gone a lot and us making trips as well blogging has been difficult, but I plan on trying to catch up when I can. So stay tuned for a lot more posts. :)

Happenings

We found a replacement. It is a Honda CRV 2004. I am sad to lose my Civic but I am slowly getting excited about this "new car" as Logan says. I have to say shopping for a "new" car with two children in tow was a bite of a challenge. I would have just let Billy go but I am definitely better in the smelling department than Billy and a good nose is a must when buying used car. :)

Andrew smiling in the stroller. We have been going on walks around the block before nap time. I have to say it has been pretty warm at 1 o'clock. Logan has even complained about being "sweaty"

I'd like you to meet "Frankie". This is Logan's new "friend". Papa got this alligator for Logan at Walmart. He loves it and named it himself. Not sure where the name Frankie came from but for an alligator he has been pretty nice and fun to have around.

Andrew is loving to play on the floor more and more. (despite the multiple spit ups that don't seem to bother him) He is also rolling both ways now. I put him on his back on the blanket the other day and off he went.

I turned around for a minute and this is what I saw. He really is not that fast yet but definitely a rolly polly.

Andrew staking out his next move.

Due to Andrew's love for reaching the Bumbo seat was not as safe anymore so Billy got out the highchair. He loved it. I can't believe how big yet so small Andrew looks in it.

Logan relaxing in his recliner.

Logan has been preferring showers with Daddy these day instead of baths. However he does still enjoy playing in the tub occasionally.

Luke you have a follower. Andrew, even though I think I am in denial, IS a finger sucker. (I just don't look forward to the future when finger sucking will not be cute) However right now I have to say it is pretty cute!

See....cutest boy ever :)
Andrew loves to play here and has even mastered some of the pull and flip parts of the toy.

Today I felt like Andrew was at Curves. I have never been but I heard you go from station to station with each station being timed. Andrew was happy for awhile in the exersaucer, then to to floor, then to the bumbo and to play with thing pictured above and then back to the floor, then diaper change, rocking and down for a nap. Fun times yet busy :) (I know at least he is not mobile, then it will be really busy and he will be in control of the station times. Yikes!)

Logan has been really imaginative lately. For the most part it has been fun for all except when he blames his toys for mishaps. He pretends to talk to everyone on the phone and his little conversation are too cute and surprising familiar. I know who has been listening to his Mommy talk on the phone :) He sat in the buggy and talked on his phone during the majority of our shopping trip. The other part he stood in the buggy in the card isle doing the chicken dance.(Yes I did get quite a few strange looks.) He also has been playing a lot with the 5-10 french fries from his playfood set. He has them doing and being lots of things. Today he said they had company and he needed to find some money to put in his pocket?? He found some in the refrigerator. I wish I would have known that was where the stash was kept. :) He will put them all on the table and then "they will fall into the water". He will ask them "are you listening to me?" and I am not sure what their response is but his next comment is "you need to listen to me" He tells them to "be careful" "watch out" "have fun" "you love your brother don't you" These are just some things I heard today. There was other playing in between what I just shared. These just captured my attention. :)

Logan's smartness and imagination has started to become a challenge in the disciplining department. Just as I was typing this Logan came out of his room and said he needed to go peepee. I said okay go. (side note: he has not quite mastered the pants up and down thing but we are working on it and trying to encourage him to want to do it on his own) So from the bathroom I hear "Mommy why aren't you minding me?" It was said in a sweet not rude voice but needless to say we definitely had a conversation about kids minding adults and not the opposite. Oh the joys of a too smart for his own good almost 3 year old.
