Logan's First Day of Preschool

Logan had a great first day of preschool. He was so excited to go to "play school". His mommy however was not as excited. Despite my mixed feelings, I did good and shed only a few tears. Logan just can't be old enough to go to preschool. I know it is not real school but it just means he is getting closer to it. On the other side I was so excited for him to make friends and interacts with other children his own age. Billy, Andrew and I walked Logan up to the building. Logan walked right in like he owned the place and never looked back. We told him bye and he quickly waved and that was it. I was sad yet so proud of him. As we were walking back to the car I saw a mother holding a crying child. I thought to myself I was so glad that was not me. That would be much harder for sure. I was waiting for him when he came down the stairs to go home. He had a big smile on his face and said "Hey! Where's Daddy? I want to tell him how much fun I had" We did not get too much info about the day from him except that he really liked it and was ready to go back. Music to my ears :)

Andrew 8 months old

t

Another month has gone by. Andrew is growing so much and way too fast. He continues to be a Mama's boy and has a special spot on my hip. :) He has the cutest little scrunched nose grin and has started giggling this month. Andrew and Logan were in the bathtub and Logan was moving his head back and forth being silly and Andrew just started giggling away. It was too cute. Andrew is doing better food wise. He is eating 1/2 jar of fruit and oatmeal in the morning and 1/2 jar of veggies and rice in the evening. So far he like everything we have given him and we plan to keep adding different kinds of foods. He still does not have any teeth so for now we will just stick to baby food. Andrew did try saltine crackers and the biter biscuits. He gagged a lot with them and made me nervous. Come on teeth. :) Recently we have found Andrew sitting up in his crib and now today we found him standing in his crib. He is still unsteady with pulling up on things but a little practice and he will have it down in no time. Andrew however has master getting into sitting position quite well. He continues to love his paci. He not only sleeps with it but also likes it during the day. Sorry Luke he gave up the fingers.. Andrew continues to army crawl however has taken a few "steps" in the traditional crawl mode so I am sure he will also get better and better at that. His sleeping at night is still random with getting up most of the time 2 times a night to nurse/rock. Andrew loves to be rocked and even though I loose sleep over this spoiling I absolutely love this time with him and just try to hold on to it. I know the time will come way too fast when he will not want to be rocked. Well that's all the facts I can think of at this time. Andrew you are a wonderful little man and we look forward to watching you continue to grow and learn. We love you.!

Auntie Am (and Natalie) and Andrew

I had to snap a picture. This was a rare moment when all three boys were quiet and playing by themselves.

Cousins! These two have some much fun together. It does get a little wild and loud at time though. Can't imagine what it will be like when Andrew and Natalie are able to run and play too.

I love this cute little boy! Luke you are going to make a great big brother!

Logan and Luke enjoyed playing together in Luke's new big boy room.

Andrew enjoying playing with Luke's exersaucer. He loved that he was able to move. Auntie Am and Uncle Jonathan were very nice to us and let us borrow it until Natalie needs it.

A family shot

Best friends. Luke and Logan.
These two love to play and even stay in touch while away from each other through talking on the phone and having conversations on the computer. It is too cute to listen to them. :)

VBS 2009

Logan was not so sure about VBS at first this year. We arrived early for a meeting. During the meeting the puppets were practicing. Logan went crazy. He did not want to go into the auditorium and broke out into tears when he saw some of the workers dressed up in Bible characters. I calmed him down and tried to explain to him about the happening of VBS (songs, puppets, classes, skits, crafts, COOKIES, etc) and that he needed to mind and follow his teacher. When time came to start VBS he sat with his class and seemed ok, but when it was time to walk to his class he again started crying. Billy took him and sat with him during class. Then after class it was snack and playtime. Of course he loved that part. Mr Jeff then took over for Billy and helped Logan with crafts. It was then time to go back to the auditorium. Logan once again did not want to go and was afraid of the puppets. I did get him to go into the auditorium with a promise he could sit near the back with me. Sitting next to me he enjoyed the puppets. I was afraid of what the rest of the week of VBS would hold for Logan but amazingly he did great the rest of the nights. He stayed with his class, participated and even was singing along with the puppets by the end of the week. I guess he just needed to warm up a little and figure it all out. The second day he came up to me after VBS and said "Mommy I enjoyed the puppets" with the biggest smile on his face. It melted my heart.
I did registration this year so Andrew got to hang out with me in the stroller and greet the kids.

My Boys

We bought matching outfits for the boys the other night. They were on clearance so we ended up having to get size 6 months for Andrew. (you don't find too many outfits in both 4T and 6-9 mths) Well the 6 months shirt ended up being a little snug so I snapped these pictures quickly to at least document my cute boys dressed alike.

Hamming it up for the camera.

Billy brought home some swim attire and toys for Logan so they could go practice what he had learned at swimming lessons. Above they are trying out their goggles. Logan loved them and did not want to take them off. Silly boy!
