Logan's Swimming Lessons

Logan enjoyed swimming lessons. He went for 2 weeks Monday-Friday for 30 minutes a day. He was in a class with 3 other little boys. He did great and loved the water. When asked what was his favorite part Logan answered jumping in the water. Not sure what happen, but Logan did had a couple of bad days in the last week where he did not want to participate. He still has a way to go before swimming totally on his own, but he is definitely getting better and better. I am so thankful that he does not have any fears of the water. One funny story: On the first day of class the teachers were telling the boys to talk to the fish and blow bubbles in the water. My practical Logan looked directly at the teacher like she was crazy and said "I don't see any fish"

Driving Along

The boys decided to take a quick drive this morning before we left for church. =) Andrew looks so big! He only balanced for a minute and don't worry Billy was right there spotting for a possible fall.

Logan is getting big as well. I was so proud of him this evening before church. I told him it was time to get ready for church and without being told he went and got his shoes and PUT them on. Yes he did it all by himself. I was amazed and so proud. It was nice to not have to fight and shove his feet into shoes.

Inch by Inch

Andrew started scooting/army crawling this week.(7 mths old) He looks like an inch worm. He is getting faster and faster. Andrew is a very determined boy and I am sure will be crawling on his hands and knees soon. Currently he is able to push up on his hands and knees himself but makes no movement while there.

Andrew 7 months

Smiling 7 months old boy!
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooofd2yw

Andrew is now sitting up and has mastered a graceful fall when he is ready to roll around.

Andrew is rolling, scooting and turning and is getting more and more mobile.

Big boy sitting up and playing. Everything goes to his mouth. Still no teeth yet. We plan on trying fruits and veggies again in the month to come. We pray his tummy handles it better. Andrew is still waking up at night one to two times. He was sick with a cold last week so the sleeping through the night plan had a set back :(

Andrew has the sweetest grin and faces.

Ready to eat

Andrew lets us know he is unhappy not by having a typical cry instead he grunts. One new thing Andrew has started doing is scrunching up his nose and mouth and blowing air in and out of his nose. (hard to explain) Above is him captured in the act.

He still randomly sucks on his first two fingers.

Andrew we love you so much and so excited to watch you grow.

Below is a video of Andrew on the move and a very short clip of Andrew's sniffing thing.(it is at the beginning)

Just Pictures

Mmmm.....Mmmm....Good!

We have one more day until Daddy gets home so I decided we needed an activity that would help the afternoon pass quicker. You see nap time for Logan has not been happening the last couple of days even after much persuasion. So today I declared it a no nap day for Logan and decided we would make cookies from scratch instead. Logan was very excited (no nap+ eating cookies = happy boy) Above Logan is all smiles. He helped me measure, pour, stir and even cracked the egg all by himself. I tried to get him to taste the sugar/butter part of the batter but he refused. However to my horror he had no hesitation after cracking the egg to lick his fingers and to tell me how good it tastes. All I could think is "Oh no we do not need Salmonella". ( I know it is hard to get the nurse out of me)

Even though I cringed a little inside, I convinced (yes I did say convinced) Logan to lick the spoon. Poor Andrew was tired of just watching and was ready to join in the fun.

Logan loved it of course and even was caught licking the counter to get some he had dropped. (more germs yay!!)

So proud to see the cookies he made.

Finally! Mmmm.....so good. We both ate way too many cookies!

Just for Fun!

Who's Who??

I took the easy way and took a picture of a picture instead of getting the hard drive out but even with the quality difference there are lots of similarites. The older Andrew gets the more I think he favors Logan. At first I thought they looked really different, but I think I better start labeling the pictures. I think I might have some difficulty on some in the future if I don't. By the way Logan is the first picture and Andrew is the second. They are both 6-7 mth of age when taken.

Thousand Oaks Ranch Camp

Andrew was exhausted and it was only the first day. This was the day we traveled and he did not get as long of a nap. He fell asleep in the mess hall while we were eating dinner. It was so loud in there I could not believe he was sleeping. Poor guy! He did get his long naps the other days.

Andrew enjoyed jumping while I got dressed each morning.

The boy campers waiting to go canoeing and fishing on the back porch of the lake house.

Andrew slept through all the activities around to Lake House and I was very excited to have my hands free to help make and pass out snow cones.

Chase and Sydney our niece and nephew came with us to camp. Here is Chase trying to catch a fish.

Both Sydney and Chase enjoyed getting to spend some time with Andrew.

Andrew got good use of his quilt Great Aunt Donna made him. He would roll and play on the floor and tables even :)

Sydney fishing

My boys. They had lots of fun but were tired and ready to load up and go home.

Our family

Logan, Andrew and I tagged along with Billy again this year to Thousand Oaks Ranch Camp (the camp we take our 3rd-6th graders to) Last year I was 13-14th week pregnant with Andrew so technically this was his 2nd year to go :) We enjoyed "the youth ministers wives" lake house. It was nice getting to interact with the kids and seeing Daddy some too. This year Logan got a special treat and went and spent a few days at GeeGee and Grandpa's house. He had lots of fun. So much fun that there was no time for pictures but according to GeeGee and Logan they have great memories and did not need pictures :)
